Spiritual, Rooted, Intimate.

Ceremonies in nature.

We do…

Personalized ceremonies for all occasions, for all self-identifying nature lovers; deep divers, wave riders, bare footers, happy campers, cloud watchers, horizon dreamers, mushroom hunters, moss growers, yurt dwellers, society shunners, granola mamas, forest mystics, altitude junkies, star gazers, tree house builders, cold dippers, zucchini growers, heart centred hippies, green-men, and ladies of the lake.

Your ceremony, your way, but in deep resonance with the natural world.

Because if being in the great outdoors gets you lit, why would you hold your ceremony anywhere else?

(well okay you might, but at least you’ll keep it real…)

 Soulful Nature FAQs

  • Certified Life-Cycle Celebrants™, are schooled in the art of ritual, ceremony, world traditions, faith traditions, mythology, ceremonial writing and ceremonial speaking. They officiate a ceremony at any life event with a focus on personalizing each ceremony to reflect the needs, beliefs and values of their clients. Ceremonies include: Weddings, Baby and Parenting, Adoption, Healing & Transition, Funerals, Memorials, Celebration of Life, Rites of Passage, Croning, Retirement, Uncoupling, Animal Tributes, or any ceremony occasion where milestones, whether joyous or deeply difficult, are moved through consciously; for opening doors, personal growth or threshold closure, privately or within community. We are here to work with you regardless of your cultural background, spiritual beliefs or sexual orientation.

  • No belief system is ever imposed or presumed by the Celebrant. A Life-Cycle Celebrant™ will work with you at length and in detail to co-create with you a personal ceremony that is unique to you and reflects you 100%. Celebrants are prepared to work with people of any belief – secular, religious or people for whom religious institutions do not serve their ceremonial needs.

A Life-Cycle Celebrant™ does not perform religious ceremonies that are reserved by a religion or culture to be performed solely by the clergy of that religion or cultural representative.

  • A Life-Cycle Celebrant™ differs from many non-clergy officiants because Celebrants are Ceremony Specialists. They have received specialized, intensive training in the theory and building blocks of good ceremony. In addition, Celebrants provide unlimited consultation through interviewing their clients and, if needed, their client’s family. Many officiants do not provide this level of personal attention. In addition, Celebrants stand to the side of the honorees during the ceremony, to physically bring the focus of the ceremony to the honorees rather than the Celebrant.

  • For most ceremonies we primarily serve Southern Vancouver Island, the Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo to Victoria and the Gulf Islands.

We are available to travel anywhere in BC or beyond, although travel arrangements and expenses are additional.

  • Every ceremony is unique with different needs and features. Therefore we are unable to provide a quote until we have spoken to determine your specific needs.

Our fees generally run the spectrum between $250 and $1500, and more usually between $450 and $900. These fees cover our time to interview, write and officiate a fully customized one of a kind ceremony.

  • Well, no. We do love outdoor ceremonies but it is not always practical. Funerals are a particular exception, because the weather really can’t be counted on year round. While weddings are now commonly held outside, funerals are still quite often an indoor affair.

We respectfully recognize our place as settlers on the stolen Indigenous lands of the Qu’wutsun’, Coast Salish peoples. As guests on this land we offer deep respect, and gratitude to the indigenous spirits, ancestors and peoples of these lands. May our reverence be enacted through right relationship with the land and its rightful stewards and traditional keepers. With the Earth and Waters, with all living entities and with the spirit guardians of this place.
